Miranda is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon, California, and New York. She sees clients online and in person. She has worked in the behavioral health field for over 20 years, beginning as a domestic violence advocate and later as a drug and alcohol counselor for adolescents in residential treatment. For the past 13 years, she has worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both nonprofit and private practice settings. Miranda earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology in 2013. Her practice is trauma-informed and grounded in an anti-oppression framework.

As a couples therapist, Miranda works with both monogamous and consensually non-monogamous (polyamorous) relationships. She approaches couples work through an attachment lens and integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She helps couples identify and interrupt repetitive patterns of conflict, understand how early attachment experiences influence their relationships, and develop more secure, authentic, and connected ways of relating. She also incorporates somatic interventions to help partners regulate their nervous systems and communicate more effectively during moments of conflict.

In her work with individuals, Miranda is queer- and neurodiversity-affirming and strives to create a warm, collaborative, and interactive therapeutic relationship. She integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic psychotherapy, AEDP, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and CBT based on each client's needs. Miranda has extensive experience working with complex trauma, chronic pain, and chronic health conditions, including hEDS, PCOS/PMOS, and endometriosis. She also enjoys supporting clients exploring questions related to gender identity, sexuality, self-esteem, relationships, and creating lives that feel more authentic and aligned with their values.
